Johnson Branch Trail Report

//
Another piece of gold from a local rider here in DFW, this time Ross Thompson gives his thoughts on the Johnson Branch trail system off of Lake Ray Roberts north of Denton. This is a killer trail up north with beautiful and scenic camping and boating. It also does very well with rain. 🙂

The Johnson Branch State Park mountain bike trail is located 25 miles North of Denton, TX on the North side of Lake Ray Roberts. For a detailed trail map, go to:
http://www.ntmbp.org/maps/Johnson%20Branch%20Ride%20Map%2020130307.pdf.

This heavily treed trail has it all, with beautiful scenery, tight tree-gates, sandy sections in […]

Pivot MACH 6 Review

//
A 27.5 enduro bike in a cross country world.
Pivot MACH 6 Review
I got two opportunities to demo this new Pivot MACH 6, once at Interbike Demo Day and again at a demo day at my home trail of Erwin Park that Cadence Cyclery and Plano Cycling put together. The Pivot Mach 6 is a new 27.5 bike that is focused on the up and coming enduro discipline.

Question: Why Do You Choose Your Bike Shop?

// I want to get your feedback today.

There are probably a hundred reasons that you might choose to use a certain bike shop.

And conversely, why would you choose NOT to use […]

Katie Jackson Park

//
Katie Jackson Park Mountain Bike Trail
Katie Jackson Park in Dallas is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Not only does Katie Jackson have 5+ miles of cross country trail but it features 1 of only 2 dirt jump parks in DFW. The trail itself is fast and flowing and very similar to many other DFW area trails in terms of soil makeup and technical features. While wrapping around the creek there are a few small rock gardens roller sections.

For the most up to date and informative information, see the Facebook group page listed in the […]
