Open Mountain Bike Trails in DFW and Weekend Weather.

Texas got dumped on last night.

I’m not talking about the Rangers game either. (#collapse)

Well, maybe I am just a little bit.

The Dallas area got hit with their first winter shower of the year last night putting up to a half inch of rain on our trails. The rain is much needed and is going to put the trails in great shape in coming weeks. Many of the DFW trails are going to be soggy and closed this weekend, and the best riding is likely to be outside of the metroplex in places like Glen Rose at Solovaca Ranch or Dinosaur Valley. Sounds like a great time for a short road trip!

On a good note, the weather is expected to be mostly sunny both days with temperatures in the mid to high 60′s. Perfect weather for a good afternoon ride.

Below is a listing of trails I have been able to confirm are open as of 4pm Friday. Please be sure to never ride closed or muddy trails.

Open Mountain Bike Trails

Both trails above I have confirmed are open, The rest of the trails in the area are closed as of now but may open up later in the weekend.

Follow along on Twitter @TexasMTBtrails and let us know how the trail conditions are!
