Rudolph’s Revenge Course
Our starting point will be at the Greenbelt entrance on FM 428/W. Sherman Dr, Aubrey Texas. the location is shown below.
From the greenbelt entrance on 428, the course will go north to the Greenbelt park at FM 455. From the park at FM 455, the course will go up the Ray Roberts Dam Road and then take a right onto FM 455. FM 455 will be followed for roughly 1 mile to the Isle Du Bois State Park entrance.
Once on the entrance road to the state park follow the road all the way to the back of the park and to the DORBA trailhead.
At the trailhead there will be a small aid station setup with water, GU energy gel, and some food. You will be roughly 8 miles and 30 minutes into the race at this point.
Next you will enter the Isle Du Bois trail and proceed through the singletrack portion of the course. The trail will be marked and all bypasses will be closed. All of the difficult sections will be used in this race so get ready for lots of rocks and potential hike-a-bike through the expert sections. The Isle Du Bois trail is roughly 11.5 miles and once finished with this lap you should be 20 miles into the race and at around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes into the race.
Once you return to the Isle Du Bois trailhead those doing the 40 mile race will refuel at the aid station and start on their second lap. Those doing the 30 mile race will retrace their path back to the 428 trailhead. Arriving at the finish line there will be food, water, coffee and high fives for all.
Should you require medical assistance or aid of any kind during this race, please find the closest volunteer or have a fellow racer alert our volunteers.
